Supporting you through life's challenges with warmth and understanding

Welcome, and thank you for visiting Committed Counselling.

Maiia Radiche Counsellor Headshot

"You alone can do it, but you can't do it alone"

My name is Maiia, and I'm a psychotherapist offering private therapy sessions online, over the phone or in person (you choose!).

Life can be challenging. Sometimes it feels unfair, unjust even. You might feel lonely, misunderstood or judged. I want you to know that reaching out takes real courage, and you've already taken the first step by being here.

I won't promise you a magic pill that takes away your worries overnight. But here's what I can promise: I'll do my best to understand what it's like to be you. I'll stand by you. I'll be your best ally as we work through whatever you're facing right now.

Working together towards change

I'm a BACP registered and NCPS accredited psychotherapist working with adults, couples and young people aged 14 and over. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, bereavement, family conflict or something else entirely, I'm here to help.

My approach is integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic methods including CBT, psychodynamic and client-centred therapy. I tailor my approach to suit you and what you need. Some people come for short-term support around a specific issue. Others work with me longer term. There's no set path, just what feels right for you.

We can meet in person at my practice in Weybridge, online via video call, or over the telephone.

How I can support you

Individual Counselling

I work with adults facing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, bereavement and loss, relationship issues and life transitions. Sometimes we just need someone who truly listens.

Couples Counselling

When relationships feel stuck or communication has broken down, it's easy to feel hopeless. I help couples navigate difficult conversations, understand each other better and work through challenges including life transitions, conflict and intimacy issues.

Counselling for Young People

Life as a teenager or young adult can feel overwhelming. I work with young people aged 14 and over who are struggling with identity, family conflict, loneliness, feeling misunderstood or isolated. This is a confidential space where they can be heard and feel understood.

What issues can counselling help with?

People come to me for help a wide range of issues. Here are a few of the more common difficulties that can be supported through counselling:

Stress

Trauma

Depression

Relationship problems

Problems with confidence or self-esteem

Anger

Anxiety

Problems with addiction

Sexuality

Post-traumatic stress

Grief, loss or bereavement

Work or retirement

Abuse

Family or school life

What happens in therapy?

Therapy is a confidential space where you can talk openly about your feelings, thoughts and experiences. My role isn't to tell you what to do or judge your choices. Instead, I listen carefully, help you understand patterns that might be holding you back, and work with you to develop ways of coping that actually feel manageable.

What you stand to gain is clarity. Self-understanding. Relief from the weight you've been carrying. Practical tools to manage life's challenges. Most importantly, you'll know someone is truly in your corner.

‘You are not a drop in the ocean; you are the mighty ocean in a drop’

Ready to talk?

Let's start with a free 15 to 20 minute phone conversation. We can talk about what's bringing you to counselling, you can ask any questions you have, and we'll see if working together feels right for you. No pressure, no obligations. Just a chance to see if this could help.
