About Me

Integrative Psychotherapist in Weybridge

I didn't always know I'd become a psychotherapist, but looking back, the path makes perfect sense.

Childhood wasn't always easy, and like many young people, I found myself searching for understanding. I learned to read very early, and books became my refuge. When I was about 13 or 14, I stumbled across a psychology book and something just clicked. This was it. This gave me insight into life, helped me make sense of what I was experiencing. I knew then that I wanted to work with the human mind and heart.

Life had other plans first, though. My journey was complicated. I had children, pursued other degrees (a BA in International Business and a Masters in Law), and spent years working in the corporate world. I'm Ukrainian and speak both Russian and Ukrainian. I've lived in the UK for nearly half my life now, and it truly feels like home. My two sons grew up here.

But there was always something missing. I found myself in mundane, routine jobs, and I yearned for something more meaningful. I wanted to work with real people, with real lives and real stories. Not spreadsheets or contracts, but the messy, beautiful, difficult reality of being human.

So, I returned to that 13-year-old's dream. I trained as a psychotherapist, and now I get to do what I always knew I was meant to do: sit with people in their pain, their confusion, their hope, and help them find their way through.
